Last T-Ball

The kids had their last game of t-ball on the 21st. They had a good time and I always enjoyed watching D-D run the bases, trying to keep her helmet on. Everyone got their trophy this evening. I think these are some of the best lookin' trophies I have ever seen. :)

Artwork by Some Little Hands

The kids have brought home several pieces of art work at the end of the year this year. It made me think of the other works they have done in past years as well. So...welcome to the art gallery by MG, E and even one by D-D

Backyard Swingin'

D-D begs to be swung "high" now and though she screams the whole time she sails through the air, she begs for more once the swing slows down.

Z has discovered how he can swing like the other kids.
well......
sort of like the others!

SPRING INTO SUMMER

Some of the flowers, trees and a sweet little lady bug in our yard. Our hydrangeas are looking better this summer than last summer.

E's PLAY & PORTFOLIO PARTY

Play: At The Zoo

this is just a small part of the song the kids all sang at the beginning of the play. We just missed E's speech for the filming (phooey!) by having the camera on photo instead of film. The kids did a great job and they worked very hard to get this accomplished!

Alabama vs. Arkansas

May 8, 2009:
We were able to go with our sweet neighbors to a baseball game. D-D and I were rooting for AR. MG would cheer for both teams, E and Dana rooted for Alabama, and I am raising Z to cheer for the hogs----right now, as long as they play good music, he doesn't care which team he cheers for. :) ha, ha, ha.

Arkansas lost by one run---but, oh!!!! What a fun game!

Sweet Dreams

One night when going to check on the kids, we discovered E and D-D snuggled up together and MG sleeping in our room. I'm not exactly sure why we do this to our kids, take these embarrassing sort of photos and then share them with family and friends, but embarrassing or not, I love the sight of children sleeping. Especially my children.

Visiting

At the end of the Kids' Spring Break, we traveled up to Arkansas to see our family and friends there...to keep the kids acquainted with what was and what will be again. We had a great time. Our camera was not always out, but we did get a few--a VERY few--pictures.

You can see the new cut that MG received after Z got his cut. The photo below and to the left
shows D-D's new haircut. We once again HAD to do this since she
has decided she likes to play "barber" with her own hair!

Z's First Cut

April 17, 2009

We were up in Arkansas for a few days over the kids' spring break. Poppa and NeNe came down to see us. After a day of being with grandparents and cousins and enjoying time and visits together, NeNe opened up her barber shop and went to work on three of the four children.

Baby Z's first cut:

these two were taken several days before the cut. Though the curls flatten once Z sleeps, his hair still has its curl---just no ringlets.
sniff! ;o)
