Inside and out

While construction goes on outside, Z works with his toys inside.I love how he holds his mouth to
make monster-truck noises!

New Construction

Dana told the kids that when we moved into our "for good" house, he would build them a place to play. He worked hard to clear some of the hill behind our house, and then spent about 1 to 2 weeks constructing their new hide-out:

MAIL CALL

At the children's new school, they have a very special time of recognition almost every Friday. About 10 or so students are chosen from the classes and the students' teachers write them a little note of encouragement about the sweet and good and special seen in those students. The classes have such a good time celebrating for the students who are called up. D-D was called for the very first MAIL-call, and as you will be able to see from the film, she was quite overwhelmed.

First Day of School

It is that time again....time for the First Day at a new school. We were all excited about this day, but the kids soon grew tired of mom taking pictures (especially our Kindergartner D-D). Hopefully, you will not grow tired of looking at the pictures. :o)

Z is THREE

For Z's birthday, we took him swimming. Afterward, we went home and had some cake. Between his excitement over the evening, he would often stop to contemplate that it was truly his birthday.
AND he wanted blue birthday gifts, too...A blue planeAnd THREE blue cars

Happy 8th Birthday, "E"!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had our own little celebration August 7th. His favorite gift this night, without a doubt, was the Wii Lego Star Wars game. I think he might have even slept with it. E also said he wanted a LEGO cake...so for his family celebration we made some Lego pieces with taffy.

The children were so excited for E to have his birthday.
Little Z was also very happy that his birthday was next.

The sad, sad, sad attempt at making E his Lego cake. No matter what I tried, I could not get the icing smooth. And then, when making the "black" lego, I ran out of one type of chocolate icing only to discover that the other icing was a different kind of chocolate! Two toned lego----aaaaaaaaaaargh! But E loved it, so that is all that matters!

Had to construct more Lego cupcakes for E's party. And, remember, we had just moved in about 2 weeks previously. I couldn't find the birthday candles! I had to use little tea lights! It was funny, but we had a good laugh over it.

The finale to the birthday party----WATER FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
