Through the Looking Glass

D-D is loving ballet and it is great fun to watch her through the looking glass. She is almost always a step or two behind everyone else, but it just tickles me to watch her.

D-D is in the back row wearing the fluffy pink tutu.

Warming Up

Though our mornings are still cold and every few days gives us a super chilly day, we are having some wonderfully warm days in between. The kids are back out on the trampoline bringing our winter static out there.

Happy Valentine's Day

Lovey-dovey treat time

D-D picked out her outfit for her party at school (oh, dear!). She was very pleased with herself:

I have to admit, this ensemble
looks much better than some of the others she
has put together!
(see below)

Who Has a Temper?

I walked through the kitchen one morning and noticed several toys on the floor. How these particular toys came to rest cracked me up.

"M-o-m!!!" little Batman whines.

"Lookit!!!" (sniff, sniff)

You didn't know that the big tough guys
could throw such fits, did ya?

whew! What a temper!

A Real Snow

This February (unlike the missed school day in January), the kids actually saw some white stuff fall from the sky and stick (somewhat) to the ground. We enjoyed getting out in the southern "snow storm" to play. D-D and I especially loved coming in and drinking hot chocolate afterward.

Putting On The RITZ

"Scaring" Each Other

I wonder...what could be behind this door?!!??

Finished Result

A few months ago I told you that Dana was working on a small kitchen remodeling project, but never showed you the finished results. He replaced the countertops, the drawer and door pulls and because the stove was a tad larger than the original hole from the previous stove, he had to cut away some of the wood flooring, un-anchor a set of cabinets, move them over, re-anchor them and then viola! The stove fit in the new hole...easy as pie, right?!!?
