Loving Hugs

The "tree hugger"

I know that in the first pictures (above) it appears that Z is yelling, "Get me DOWN!!!"...but he's not. He thinks he is so big when he can get in the trees like his big brother and proclaims it to the world whenever mom allows him to climb to these great heights! He can hang on to the tree like this for 5 minutes or more and does not like to get down.

The love

Oh! How these little actions between these two made my heart smile! D-D loves to love on her little brother...especially when he tolerates it. We also treasure the moments when Little Z shows love to his sister...I wish you could actually hear the giggling from D-D and the grunting from her littlest helper in the first and last photos (above).

The dryad/ wood nymph

The far right photo (above) makes me giggle. That is one VERY protective dryad!!! So, watch out!---don't mess with her tree!!!! I also find pleasure in the photo of D-D below, center. She has an interesting way of holding on while she reclines.

The Little Man

He feels so "cool" when he gets on one of his caps.
And then we can't get it off of him until bed!

Sisters in Plaid

The Cardboard Box Syndrome

Remember those Christmases (or birthdays) when you wonder why you bought all of the gifts for your kids because they ended up playing the most with the boxes and wrapping paper? We had a feeling somewhat like that when we went to check on the children before locking up one night: There are many nights like this when we wonder...why did we even buy the bed frames and mattresses???! We probably should have just asked for the boxes the beds came in to give to the kids. :o)

A Form of Entertainment

Earlier this March, my mom came to help us fix a few things around the house before we put it on the market. She helped us with many things, the biggest job of which was very entertaining for my youngest two. They usually get to watch a little t.v show whenever they eat their mid-morning snack, however while my mom was here, the kids opted out of the t.v shows.

They watched "Ne-Ne" like this for about 45 minutes.

Stepping Into Spring

Dana took the kids on their last hike of the winter season...it is so nice to taste spring and be able to get out in it when you do get that taste! So, though it was still technically winter when the kids and Dana went on their hike, it felt like they were walking into the new season!!!

Our neighbor came
along.

Outdoor Play

There will be a lot more pictures of us outside now that the days are definitely getting warmer. Especially in these last two weeks of March. We have had loads of rain, so any day that is not too wet finds the children running in and out of the house making all kinds of racket as well as bringing all kinds of wonderful playmates to add to it.
