D-D had her birthday celebration tonight(Oct 2---Happy Birthday to Mandy's dad)...a day earlier than her actual birthday (Oct. 3). For many days before her birthday (weeks actually) she has been wanting a horse and cat cake. The horses, she wanted as My Little Pony. The cats she wanted like our neighbor's cat. But earlier this past week, she changed her mind. She wanted "Hello Kitty" on her cake.
When I got home from church last night, I put the kids to bed pronto-haste-o, and began coloring the icing. I had already made the cake earlier in the day and during nap I had put the base layer of icing on it. Now I was ready to decorate. It took a couple of hours. But it was finished around 10 or so. D came home from his meeting around the time I was finishing and snapped a few pictures:
D-D had several little girls over to play and they had a great time, eating cake and ice cream, dressing up, reading books and opening all the presents. All these little ones are so sweet and it is fun to watch the kids love their friends and be happy for each other when friends come over. She will open some gifts tomorrow on her actual birthday from family.
I love how you can see everyone n this picture
because of the reflection in the window.
