E:: receiving the Gem Award at school for good behavior and perseverance in school work. This is a fun award to receive all because it is such a surprise for the children. The award is given to two students (from each grade/class)for each semester . Since we have not gotten through the last two 9-weeks, these awards were just for the first two quarters. One of the neat things for us this time was that so many children from our neighborhood received these awards...and we had a fun celebration with many of our neighbor-friends.
MG:: had some of her artwork chosen (by her art teacher at school) to be on display in a little gallery. This time, it was displayed on the University campus. I love how the picture chosen is along the same lines as the
one chosen when MG was in 1st grade.
